A Haitian-American entrepreneur, health and wellness ambassador, chief cultural consultant, speaker, and author, who instills hope in and inspires others to step forward in their pursuit of living life after the bell.
Tamara's entrée in storytelling came when she realized that young mothers with diverse families needed a hopeful and engaging platform to educate and eliminate the stigmas around cancer. Surrounded by her daughters, the process of writing her first book 'Hair to the Queen!' is what gave her hope in her cancer journey.
Today, she continues to encourage conversations of hope among previvors, thrivers and survivors.
From how to start up your own business to self-publishing to simply knowing how to balance it all, Tamara delivers impactful messages that instill hope and calls on us all to action. Tamara participates on various panels including conferences at universities and hospitals, live feeds, news segments and more.
"Although my cancer journey is now a part of my life story, it is what happened after that makes me very proud," says Tamara. "I have established a voice in an area that needed a young, diverse and uplifting voice, and I have been able to inspire families and educators around the world to encourage them to discuss cancer with children in a different, well-informed way."

"A friend of ours who is dealing with breast cancer was telling me how much Tamara's books have helped her and her kids (I gave them to her). She says they read them over and over and each time her daughters obtained a new level of calm and understanding."
